Ninfa's Uptown Houston Introduces New Happy Hour Menu

Executive chef Alex Padilla and beverage consultant Linda Salinas from The Original Ninfa’s Uptown Houston have teamed up to introduce a new happy hour menu featuring specialty bar bites and cocktail creations. Unique to the Uptown location, the specials are now available Monday - Friday from 3-6 p.m. in the restaurant’s bar and patio areas.

Bar bites (Bocados Especiales) from Padilla include Pulpo a la Leña (wood-grilled octopus, Spanish chorizo, salsa verde), Taquitos de Barbacoa con Consommé (slow-roasted lamb taquitos with a rich bone broth for ‘French Dipping’), Ninfa’s ‘World Famous’ Fajita Burger Sliders (manchego cheese, grilled onions, spicy harissa-chipotle mayo), Cochinita Pibil (plantain “arepa” with black beans, pulled pork, pickled onions, poblano pepper sauce), and Spicy Crab & Shrimp Tostada (with Fresno pepper aioli and mango-jicama slaw on a puffy blue corn tortilla) – all priced at $8.

Happy Hour drink specials include $4 Mexican craft beers, $7 wines and sangria and $7 margaritas and cocktails. Cocktail offerings include The Original Ninfarita, Guava or Strawberry Ninfarita and four new cocktails from Salinas: A Tamarind Mole Margarita (El Tesoro Reposado Tequila, tamarind, fresh lime juice, agave, salted mole rim), Spicy Pineapple Margarita (jalapeño infused tequila, pineapple, XO Orange), Aztec Negroni (Gracias a Dios Oaxacan Gin, campari, sweet vermouth) and Carajillo (Licor 43, espresso).

The Original Ninfa’s Uptown Houston also will soon roll out a new Chef’s Specials menu, which will be the same as Padilla’s popular specials at The Original Ninfa’s on Navigation.
