Good news – you do not have to wait for Mardi Gras (March 5th is over a month away!) or take a trip to The Big Easy for a taste of Cajun cuisine. Recently opened Eunice, named after Executive Chef Drake Leonards’ South Louisiana hometown, is serving a modern Cajun-Creole brasserie-style menu inspired by the flavors of Leonards’ childhood year-round. Diners will enjoy seeing versions of familiar dishes such as boudin, gumbo and etoufee offered, as well as intriguing eats like the Cajun Cajun Duck Poppers with double smoked bacon and jalapenos, and “Dan Dan” Shrimp Sliders featuring spicy aioli and pickled peppers. Light and dark finishes are expertly blended to create an airy atmosphere that is perfectly suited for the restaurant’s lunch, dinner or brunch service. Want a pro tip? If you are dining with a group, elevate the experience and opt for the eight-seat chef’s table positioned in front of the semi-open kitchen.
